Owl Wonderland Nursery (for girl)

Owls are very popular this year for all ages; I myself have become a fan.  Through many different cultures, the symbolic meaning of owls deal with, brilliance, independence, mystery, transition, intelligence, and protection.  A friend of mine came to me with the idea of Owl's for her nursery.  This project is in the very beginning stages, but since so many of my friends are expecting I thought that I would share some of my nursery ideas.

The design was based off the Pottery Barn Hayley Nursery Bedding.

She already had the crib and furniture so we just needed to add some color and creativity to the walls and room.  Taking colors from the bedding I found coordinating colors from BEHR paints.

Breakfast Blend 280F-7
Ruffles 170A-3
Corn Husk Green 400D-4
Cool Pink 100C-2

Besides adding paint to the walls, I wanted to add some fun wall decals, which are easy to apply and make such a statement.  Attached are some of the many wall decals that can be found from etsy.com the prices can range anywhere from $30-$100 for decals.

I came up with two simple wall paint options that would go perfect with the theme selected.  Option 2 so far is the winner!  All walls are painted in the Ruffles (pink) paint.  The main wall is where the crib will go with painted trees, in the Breakfast Blend paint. The trees will frame the crib, and give a nature ambiance.  The decals will then add the finishing touch.  I have added a few individual owls decals to option 2 so that you can get a better visual.

After the bedding, and paint is completed its time to start decorating!
Below are two rug options I have picked out.  The pink rug with stripes is a nice option, however I think that the flower area rug with the little ladybugs would be perfect in this "owl wonderland nursery. "
